This miniature for toy piano, Twisting Brook, was written in 2013 for a Vox Novus “15 Minutes of Fame” call for scores project by Mark Robson, who performed it and other selected new miniatures on several occasions in California as well as in the Florida International Toy Piano Festival. The beauty and power of water to adapt and shape its surroundings inspired this work, and with a little imagination, the toy piano creates the sound of a silvery brook running and twisting along and energetically splashing over rocks.
