Descripción
Teufelstanz, for solo piano means “Devil’s Dance.” a title that befits its dark and twisted, yet enticing color, melodies and dances. Teufelstanz began as a harmonic study using quartal harmony but quickly turned into a piece. The opening measures provide the organization and material for the whole work. Soon the piece takes the listener on a journey farther and farther away from the familiar into several dances that teem with mystery.
