{"id":11551,"date":"2022-12-10T14:33:26","date_gmt":"2022-12-10T13:33:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yvonnefreckmann.com\/?post_type=product&#038;p=11551"},"modified":"2022-12-10T14:50:39","modified_gmt":"2022-12-10T13:50:39","slug":"ruf-elise-fur-elise-remix","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/yvonnefreckmann.com\/es\/shop\/product\/ruf-elise-fur-elise-remix\/","title":{"rendered":"r\u00fcf Elise (f\u00fcr Elise remix)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This piece is a playful remix of Beethoven\u2019s famous \u201cF\u00fcr Elise\u201d piano solo, hence the modified title \u201c<strong>r\u00fcf Elise<\/strong>\u201d (2018). <b>Cut, mix, <\/b>or <b>flip around<\/b> a famous score to hear how it transforms \u2014 that was the approach I took to the intriguing art exposition <b><i>CopyPaste\/Remix<\/i><\/b> in Kerkrade, the Netherlands. The only rule I set was that the score could be visually modified as wished, but no notes or symbols could be deleted. I took scissors to the score, and like a puzzle, began to group and rearrange the music, trying out all modifications on the piano. I also like to call it Beethoven meets Freckmann.<\/p>\n<p>The gallery opening was on a sunny Sunday afternoon at <a href=\"http:\/\/werkplaatsk.nl\/\">Werkplaats K<\/a> where I was <i>Artist in Residence <\/i>at the time.
